Default Buying Modshack intake need help

Hey guys, I have the 225TT. I'm buying a modshack intake today and I've heard both sides of the TTDA & VTDA. Both have their ups and downs. Anyone have either of them? Any comments about them? Which way should I go? Also how bout the **** is it worth the money, do anything? Anyone have one ?

i have the TTDA and it works great right now i dont have the hoses installed(btw gwt the special aircraft hoses their much better material)because i like the sound not having them in. also i plan on fabricating front feed holes in my bumper--then the intake will be off the chain! the hoses help keep the hot air out(cuz you run them down by the headlight assembly. well worth the money and very easy install

I have the TTDA and the ****. The TTDA seems to work good and I would use the hoses cuz it does draw the air from a little cooler place. The **** I wouldnt get, its only a little bigger (2.75 inches) than the stock MAF. Besides isnt the 225 MAF 3 inches? Plus when you change the MAF it causes the MPG readings to give false readings. It makes it seem like you are getting better mpg but your really getting worse. If you upgrade to a bigger turbo then you will need a bigger MAF to allow more air flow but then you should upgrade the intake hoses to 3 inches too. They also said to use a 4 bar fpr but I found no difference between the 3 or 4 bar fpr so I stayed with the 3 bar. When you increase boost more you might need the 4 bar. So the **** isnt worth the money it costs. I will say that when I put the **** on it did smooth out my first gear. 1st gear would pick up then lag then pick before I had the ****. With the **** it just picked up good, due to more air I guess. I need a 3 inch MAF to go with my new turbo and was thinking of the 225 MAF cuz I heard it was a 3 inch, so Im curious if it really is or not. Hope this helps.
