Camber/Caster
Is there normally a little camber on the rear wheels on these cars? Looking at many pics of TTs I can't tell but BOTH of my rear wheels have the "top leaning in" a little. I assume that's called camber and not caster...
Anyway, do you guys think something has gone bad and I need a camber kit or something more or do these cars tend to sit like that a lot?
(after about 3,000 miles on new tires they look to be wearing ok)
Yeah, there should be, but not much.
Heres a pretty good article about camber and caster, and toe, and whatnot, so you can get an idea of whats going on.
Remember, knowledge is power!

I have no idea what this is, but i was in a pic posting mood.
I'll go lookin for my last alignment printout too, thats actually worth something here.... ; )

heres the links, it doesn't seem to want to post them up as pics for some reason.
You'll notice some hardcore alignment issues with the pass rear wheel. - some unknown suspension damage from the previous owner somethings tweaked just enough that theres not enough adjustment to fix it, but not enough to visually see a bend anywhere. I have to stay on top of tire rotations to keep the wear even until I can afford a full k-mac camber kit.

well..my TT needs to get an alignment bad..like my steering wheel is a lil slanted when im going strait..i see dat i have a negative camber on my left rear wheel more than my right rear wheel
my question is..dat is it adjustable, meaning can i jess take it to an auto shop dat does alignments and can they fix it..er would i have to go to a body shop and pay even more to get it done..?

Thanks for the data ACH!
I have almost the same situation as True_Pinoy described except for the steering wheel thing. When I got tires I asked them to check out the allignment, esp the rear and they said "everything is to factory specs" - so I guess the little camber I'm seeing is fine.

pinoy, as far as I know theres very little/no adjustment for camber. They can loosen up suspension components, and try to tease them in the right direction, and snug the bolts back up, but thats about it.
Unless you get the kmac kit....

then you have full adjustability. They make full kits, half kits, for front and rear. Not real cheap, but if you're burning tires all the time, probably worth it.
