Can I ask what a diode mod is?
a diode limits the voltage from the map to the ecu. The higher the volts the higher the psi. The 4.3v limits the ecu to only seeing 11psi, the 4.7v limits the ecu to 17psi (for a chipped car it you are having trouble hitting limp) and the highest the ecu can read is 5v. So if you have no chip and want to increase the psi you need a 4.3v so it only lets the ecu see 11psi (which @14.7 you will hit limp) and then turn up the boost. For some chips, the tune is to aggressive and you may hit limp from time to time above 17psi. So by limiting the ecu to only see 17psi you can then run the boost up to 20-24psi with ease.

instead of having a sticky named " FAQ AND BASIC TT INFO ", perhaps we should make a whole seperate one named, " MOD FAQ "
granted, if most people skip past the original "FAQ", who's to say they'd stumble into the suggested?
just my .02
