Default can someone explain defcon please

Can someone please explain the defcon mod? When I search in the forum I only find people mentioning the name "defcon." When I use google I just learn about defcon 1 through 4 and the state of emergency of the country.

Thanks.

Originally, the TT had much better suspension, so good infact, people were killing themselves....
So Audi decided to introduce a bit more understeer, and changed the suspension up front. You can occasionally find Mark I arms and get that sharp steering back, or just get the Mark I bushings (much cheaper) and the Defcon sleeves for the Mark II arms.

Thats what the Defcon is.

So the 00 cars had a better suspension than the later units? I remember when they had to add that wing on the back to hold the *** end down at speed, is this the same era you speak of?

Is there a FAQ on the evolution of performance that is a lil more "in depth" than the normal ones...?

The front bushing on the MkI control arm was smaller diameter. When the recall is performed to add the spoiler, the front control arms are swapped out to the larger MkII arms. There is more information on the Defcon info page.
