Car Convert Newb
Newbie here.
2002 TT Quatro Coupe (180hp) Aviator Grey, 58k,all options, all stock...for now.
I'm a huge motorcycle buff and haven't owned a car in about 6 years, but I knew the TT was the one.
It shares the garage with an '03 Honda RC-51 sportbike, a Honda XR650L dualsport, and a ten-speed pedal-bike from the 70's. I'm going to be using this car alot during the winter time for skiing and driving in the rain- otherwise I'd rather take a motorcycle. I've already bought a Thule ski rack, OEM rubber floor mats and Bridgestone Blizzacks. It's been up to Mt. Baker 3 times and Stevens Pass once already in the 8 days I've owned it. It handles great in the snow- fast, fun and solid. I'm looking forward to taking really good care of it utilizing the knowledge on this site, and maybe making it a little faster down the road. I'm a total gear-head and like to do everything myself, but the car has a two year warranty I'll have to honor as far as mods go. The timing belt issue is an eye-catcher for sure.
I'm a merchant mariner by trade, an engineer on oil tankers running out of Alaska. So if anyone has any questions about 50,000+ HP slow speed diesels that are bigger than your house- let me know. Cheers!

There are some mods that you can do that the stealership won't know to look at, like chipping it and having the stock program on as well, so don't let that stop you.
I've always wanted to visit or live in Alaska but it's too far from family in Georgia.
