RE: Catch Can

Greddy and other $100+ cans will have baffles and the Ebay kits are just empty tanks.

This one looks like it has an inline filter that may prevent the oil from passing on.

Are those things hard to mount? I mean there is hardly any room in that engine compartment to start with.

I got this reply when I asked about if their catch can has a check valve or filter:

Dear Sir,
The vapors and gases will condense in the oil catch tank. The changes in pressure and temperature will aid in this process. If the tank is near its capacity, then there is danger that the contaminants will be leaked into the intake.

Please contact us if you have more questions or require further assistance.

So I guess it doesn't have one but they think it is not going to be a problem.

Thats the same one as posted before. You can mount it anywhere, youll just have hoses everywhere. Just look at my first pic, its simple clean and hidden by the engine cover if you run one.

Okay, one more question. Which type of size fitting should I get? They seem to come in 9mm and 15mm.

lowes has there own line they carry and comes in the smaller size like i have above and larger for a few $ more. Comes with a blue topand the fittings are all the same.

I dont know how long the filters last unfortunatly. Also i am unable to find just the filters for sale. So worse case you may have to buy a new can and filter about every 12mos is what Andrew and i figure.
