i took off work tomorow so first thing in the morning i will be pulling the MAF and cleaning it. if that doesnt work than i guess i will be buying a new one. i also am going to have to use some starter fluid to check for vacuum leaks because buying new parts is too expensive so i have to make shure that i dont need new parts first.

FYI there is an extended warranty on the MAF if you want to check with your dealer, I think it's 7 years - 70,000 miles. Often cleaning will help, but only temporarily. There is spray cleaner actually called "MAF cleaner" available at auto parts stores, be sure to use that or a non-residue electrical parts cleaner.

I had my car for two months now. I get the same code, as well as p1136 and p0102. I cleaned it, and now it is hit or miss. Works for a bit, then throws a cel. I bought a brand new one off of ebay, it was $133 shipped. It is sitting at my door step now, I cannot wait til I get home so I can see if I finally get some power out of this car. Good luck.

P0102 definitely-ish the MAF sensor but if you have the same problem when the new one is fitted check for a short to ground in the wiring

A little off topic but how do I find the enigine code for my car? I have a 2001 180QC Which apparantly came with the ATC and AWP codes. Ive tried decoding the VIN online, and looked all over the engine bay for some ID but I cant find it.

My VIN is TRUWX28N511044059 if it helps anyone with the question. Apparantly the ATC uses a larger wrist pin, a standard k03 and doesnt have VVT and the AWP uses a smaller wrist pin and k03Sport (whatever that is) and does have VVT.

Apparantly the two motors use a different MAF sensor as well but I can only find the Bosch part # for the ATC so far. Anyone know the bosch # for the AWP offhand? That should be an easy way to tell the difference.

To find the engine code, remove the engine cover and look on the front passenger side of the head, there is an embossed stamp there.

While I couldnt find the stamp I did finally find the sticker on the cam cover designating me AWP equipped, which I can only assume is good news, engine wise. Thanks for the tip, but between the Intake manifold, throttle body and Alternator all jammed over there that stamp is well hidden.

Oddly enough the head was the first place I looked, being thats where I'm used to finding Honda designations.
