Well while it pains me to see this car go, I will be putting my TT up for sale in the next few weeks on ebay. Today was my breaking point ,Between the stupid nick nack problems to the clutch going out. I'm tired of the tt. Love the car...hate the problems.

Might be in the market for a z4

oooo goody!

Sorry to hear it. It seems either you have a great one, or you have a terrible one, there is no 'average' TT.

Good luck with the car shopping.

That is the complete truth, but before I bought this car I was warned by other audi owners that these cars spend more time in the shop than they do on the road ( audi as a whole ) ...i sad because I truly like the car...but I've never ONCE had these kinds of problems out of any of my BMW's or my Mercedes. NOT ONCE.

This car has been in the shop 8 times since october. 8 TIMES. My 7 series in the 4 years I owned it was in twice. Both times BMW paid for the repairs.

And on the other end of the spectrum, I had my TT for a little less than 2 years, put 36,000 miles on it, and other than scheduled maintainence, a weird quirk where once a year the haldex wouldn't engage (no codes, no repeatability), the only problem I had to take care of with the car is strut bushings starting to get clunky.

I like the new ones, but most likely I wont be buying an audi again. The taste is bitter in my mouth. First audi...

I havent had any problems with mine (except the new turbo I put in) and Ive had mine for 5 yrs. Not one major stock part has gone bad yet. Just the normal things that go wrong with any 5 yr old car. Now the new turbo it has given me some trouble but seems to be worked out now. I might have to wait a yaer for the 360 hp TT-RS to come out.

you do relieze there alot of things that can cause a cel that arent really bad? Hell lots of them fix themselves. Plus a clutch doesnt last forever, if you baby it it will last a long time but stillwill need tobe replaced. I could understand if your turbo blew, o2's died, cluster malfunctioned, seats breaking or anything else extreme but not a cel. How about you just reset it and call it a day. For all you know its already fixed. Sleep on it already!!
