Default CHipping question

I'm about to get the giac chip (new xchip) and wondering if the new chip will lower my gas milage? it would make sense if it did but just wondering what you people think?

Typically no. Actually if you were to drive exactly the same it would stay the same or go up a few miles per gallon. Now most people tend to drive the car much harder than before chipping so their mileage goes down. But that's only because you'll be stomping on the pedal!
