question about chipping, what if....
when changing my apr from stock to 93 octane, i am always concerned i may go to far and accidentially set it to 100 octane. what should i look for as far as making sure i am not in this mode? will it make any noises, odd shifting, smoke, etc?
my ecu blinks are
1- stock
2-91 octane
3- 93 octane
4-100 octane

RE: question about chipping, what if....
Just make sure you have the right blink sequence.....
Running 93 octane on a 100 octane tune would be like running 85 octane on a 93 octane tune. It's not healthy for the car. Yes it will run. It will not run well and if you run it long it could cause problems.

Definitely avoid that but just release the CC switch at the first set of 3 blinks... No check point other than that but it is pretty idiot proof. As soon as it goes from the 2 blinks to the 3 blinks, release.
