Cigarette lighter and Garmin power cable problem
2001 TT roaster here. It seems the cigarette lighter socket is not deep enough to securely hold the the power plug on my Garmin.
Every time I hit a bump the plug comes loose and I lose power to my Garmin.
I've searched for some sort of adapter but came up empty.
Any ideas short of hardwiring to the fuse block?

I had the same problem with my Sirius plug. Turns out i had to turn the plug upside down to get it to stay. No issues ever again. If thats doesnt work, you can always go to any place that has car audio stuff (even meijer and walmart) and get a splitter. These have deeper cups that work really well.
Just remember that there is a power converter in the cig adapter and hardwiring it directly will kill the Garmin since it runs on about 40% the power (~5v vs 12v)
