Strange situation , In the last tree weeks my car have been acting very weird I have been starting my car like normal every day but after a cuple of miles my car wants to turn off by itself , If I am moving usually what I do is I pop the clutch and keep going but I haven’t been that lucky all the time I have found my self in a stop light and the car
Shuts down and I cant start it again usually what I have to do is wait about an hour and
Then my car will start like normal, and it will drive for the rest of the day no problem
The thing is that it only does it when the car is going from a cold start to getting to normal operating temperature, and I cant figure out what it is.

if anyone have an idea of what it is i am willing to try it??

by the way i have a 2000 tt quatro, atc engine

 

first off you need to have it checked for fault codes ( does the CEL come on? ) im guessing catalytic converter/O2 sensor/ EVAP purge valve but that's just a guess without any codes

 

i have an engine light on but thought it was the mas flow sensor because of the intake that has on but never cross my mind it could be a o2 sensor, really dont know what a evap purge valve is or what it does and the cat conv is ok, i have new exaust and cat coverter on, but nerver taught of o2 sensor

 

yea you might want to get that CEL checked out

 

i did and they gave me a code but i dont know what does it means because they cant read what it is and i mean autozone, because of some lock on the cel that the dealer has on the comp but i have a number is number 1156 if that means anything and ofcourse i have to wait untill monday because the dealer's maintenance section is close on the weekends.

 

someone will probably tell you what 1156 is... i dont know the codes so i cant

P1136 - Long term fuel trim add fuel Bank 1 too lean

But its that going to make my car turn off???

 

not sure, just quick googled the code cause im bored haha but maybe cause your running lean... but idk
