it says O2 sensor b1 S1. does anyone know what part i will need for this? and its location?

That's your front Oxygen Sensor. It's in the down pipe just past the turbo outlet. Does it say the sensor is open, shorted, or below threshold?

I have a 225 (AMU) engine so it might be different than yours. Look between the firewall and engine. I'm sure someone can post a pic for you though.

Here is a picture from my Bentley manual, this is for a 1.8T non quattro. You didn't say what you had. Part #9 is what you're looking for.

I have an 02 225 quattro coupe. Its an AMU. Do you have a picture for that?

It's roughly the same place, right after the turbo. In fact, it's even easier to reach. Just get a good O2 wrench and some long extensions. You're looking for #2 in this diagram.
