Default Correct torque for tightening lug nuts

Schwaben Torque Socket Set

This was recommended by one of our members. Further research revealed that this set has a fixed torque limit setting of 74 ft/lbs for all three sizes.

Is this the correct torque and if not what is the point of buying this??????

That's what I thought but one of the responders on this forum suggested I purchase the kit....but it has a fixed torque limit of 74ft/lbs for the average car specs. This seems like a dangerous suggestion. I cancelled my order. What other torque wrench for under $50 would you suggest I purchase for the TT?

I wouldn't worry about a torque wrench for your wheel lugs. Just get a bottle of this HERE and tighten as best you can. Unless you weigh under 90lbs you shouldn't have an issue with it.

How does the elbow grease compare to "anti-seize compound"????

My mistake?

I said similar to those, didn't realise those where torque limiting, just thought they were sleeved.

This is what I meant, and exactly what I have. They have a protective sleeve so you don't scuff up your rim.
