RE: Custom Clutch
Ok, just talked to him. He said its a stage 2 clutch, holds up to 375 lbs of torque. And a billet aluminum lightened flywheel. Parts cost $1100, out the door for $1946. Plus he says if anything were to mess up, I wont be double paying he would just fix it. Is this a good deal or not?

RE: Custom Clutch
I put in a stage 2+ by spec and its a awesome clutch! I did get the light flywheel (ALUM) and yes it chatters pretty good. Its kinda annoying if your in Idle and your talking to people because they think your car is broken or something is wrong. You can hear it in the drivers seat with the doors closed and windows down. But if you push the clutch in it goes away which is what I do most of the time. As far as diffrent in performance im not really sure. I do get a faster rev rate. So its up to you on the flywheel. Personally if I could do it again I would of gotten a light steel or just stayed stock. But the clutch is awesome! No slip no matter how much I wanna rag on it.
I got the clutch off line for around 1100.00 and found a guy to install it for 800 bucks.
Most places I looked at wanted 1700+ labor to put the clutch in without parts. 4 places quoted me over 3 thousand dollars Thats when I almost took the car to a local chop shop and handed it over. lol

Nah... the "stages" of clutches are a measure of the clutches performance capabilities I believe...
Gohere, type in your year make and model and it'll list the available stages of clutches for your car and the torques they're rated up to:
http://www.specclutch.com/
For example... a Spec Brand Stage 3 clutch for my car is good up to 450 ft/lb torque while the Stage 2 is only good for 385 ft/lb
