Custom Exhaust Build
I was gonna stick w/ the K03 but I'm fairly certain it's starting to **** the bed. The mechanic that did my timing belt/tensioner/water pump said when he took off the charger pipe that it was laced w/ oil and so was the SMIC. Anything that's involved in the Breather system has been replaced w/ new parts direct from audi so the Only thing left that could be pissing oil is the Turbo. I was tempted to pay some one to take the DP off and check for shaft play (I'm certain they would find alot) but eh. I have a feeling all of that oil on the MAP sensor/In the TB/sensors and Intake/Motor and so on and so forth are playing a role in my cold start issue as well.
I havent heard back from the shop yet but I will ask about a T3 s60 and see whats said about it. And on pagparts.com are you talking about http://www.pagparts.com/perfpts1.asp...&mfrid=235 Part# PPT-18T-MN25 instead of having them make a exhaust manifold?

Yeah, either you are gullible or he is just stupid. The turbo is fine, if it had a oil seal problem, you and the entire neighborhood would know. The oil is from your PCV system that took a dump. You need to change it (just under intake manifold i believe), clean the systemand add in a catchcan. There isnt anything wrong with your turbo unless its not making boost or you have a huge cloud coming out of your exhaust. Kind of like this wonderfull F40

I would just get the kit from Arnold altogether. Its going to be just over $3k and fit and run w/o any issues.

Wish I had video of my first miata motor...
It was just as bad as that pic, except I wasn't moving.
20psi + stock 1.6motor = Smoke Screen.
Burnt stock clutch, and blew enough smoke into the air tooutweigh Cali's emissions laws.

Now if the PVC system was shot though - wouldnt the oil be Post TB? Im looking at the diagram that was up the shows the whole engine bay and I don't see any other place for the oil to get in. Especially from the turbo through that pipe/pancake/SMIC.
Was scoping this picture out too:
Cut away of a KKK K03 turbo - obv dead center being the bearing w/ oil inlet and outlet above/below it - what else seals the ends of the bearings to keep the oil contained there and only there?

Ok, simply put. Head pressure gets vented through the port on the drivers side of your valve cover back into your intake. It thens pools there when cold (check itout, it will be coating the tip)and when still hot, it goes into the turbo with the other air and then gets spit out into the charge piping. It will then pool again in your ic and some will even work its way to the TB and even into the intake manifold and then into the cylinders killing performance. You need to clean your tip, dv, ic, and tb.
As for the turbo, the oil seals are what contains the oil in the chra. When it blow, your exhaust will have a massive cloud out the back that can be seen for blocks.
So go to ecstuning/dealership and get a new PCV and clean up your system. Not to mention a catchcan wouldnt hurt.

Allright so in another post Im gonna do the PCV delete and add a catch can. Gonna order the 034 Intake manifold gasket if I could figure out if I need the small port or the big port, already got the TB Gasket. What should I use to clean the crap out of the Intake manifold/Trottle Body/Pipes/SMIC ? I've never had to clean these items before soo any suggestions on cleaners/tools and writeups that any of you have is more then appreciated.
All cars in the US (but the 97-99.5 AEB A4's) are small port heads. As for clean up, just hit it with some TB cleaner and the crap will basically just run right off and given about 5min to dry and will ready for reinstall. There isnt howtos that i know of, but its extremely easy, just take your time and look for the bolts.
