Default Custom Exhaust- muffler question

I was thinking about customizing my exhaust (1.8T, single pipe) and I was looking at my "muffler area" and I HAVE NO IDEA how some one would install a muffler on it. I wanted a magnaflow muffler and im guessing one would have to weld it on but what size would I have to get in/out for my car and if so, do you any specific models (perferably magnaflow because it is pretty low price for a good solid sound) but any other company is ok too like borla etc. Im kind of lost right now so please help. So far I have a cat delete (test pipe), and down pipe.

all you need is a strait through muffler either 2.5, 2.75 or 3" in/out. You can place it anywhere, it doesnt have to be installed like stock

if he has a roadster I can see the problem. There is alot of extra strengthening hardware under the rear of the car which essentially makes the cat back part imossible to get to easily.

It almost looks like another bellow pan type of thing but it doesn't look as easy to remove.

I don't know about the roadster, but the belly pan type stuff Ryan seems to be talking about just comes right off of my car. It's the same sorta material as the belly pan and comes off with just undoing a bunch of torx bolts.
