Default Deal or no deal???

Hello all,

I have been wanting an audi for some time now and have manly looked at a4's but i found this deal. Well atleast i think its a deal. I need as much info on these things as possible b/c i'm ready to buy lol. I have a 2003 dodge ram worth about 6000-6500 on a trade so i think i can probably just walk in and swap keys. I also would like to know would my insurrance jump up a lot due to this car i mean i don't consider it really a sports car but idk. As well how would this handle in the snow i live in an area where snow in the winter is common. I know it has quattro and all but still. Also i searched the vin and it says 6spd so does that mean 225hp or could it still be 180.

Heres the link

Thanks for all the help in advance.

At 94K miles and 10 yrs, it will need Timing belt, tensioner, waterpump, etc unless they have maintenance records to prove it's been done. Usually every 5/60 or else you risk destroying engine with TB break, so it still may need them done. Usually under $1000 at an independent shop. Under $1500 at a dealer. Suspension will also need work by now. Expect $1000-$2000 depending on how much and whether you do some labor yourself. I did mine (struts, springs, ball joints, droplinks, control arms bushings, sway bar bushings) for about $1300, but did my own labor. Dash cluster is also a known weak spot. $3-400 to repair, $800-1000 to replace.

$5k is very very cheap. could be a good opportunity if you can do some of your own work.

If it is a 6spd, then it is a 225. all 6spds were 225.

Do not expect it to be a reliable daily driver in the sense of hon/toy/mitsu/niss. TTs are not. Like most german cars, they need routine repair and maintenance and parts. Not cheap. Reality is you don't own a TT, you support it. If you can live with that notion, you'll be happy. If not, you'll be miserable.

good luck.

cheers.
