Default Decisions for the weekend tune-up ?

This weekend I am going to be doing a lot to the Audi, complete wash, wax, clean leather, dash, vacuum, and then I will be changing the oil and spark plugs.
I have decided to get my NGK BKR6E spark plugs since I am stock and no chip. How many miles do you all suggest you get out of these plugs though?

I am having a hard time deciding on what oil to use. On all my other cars I have used Castrol. I have been taking my cars to a local lube shop but lately they have got some mixed reviews and my last car I saw the guy using the lower grade oil when I asked and paid for the higher grade oil. It was only a little bit more, and to resist the confrontation I have decided to suck it up and do my changes myself again.
So for my car.. 2001 stock TT, 36k miles.. can someone give me some options, good, better, best. Also if I should get 10w30, 5w30, etc.
(I looked in the faq but the link didn't work)

The last thing i need help with are filters.. are their any difference in these? I have always gotten a Fram filter. Any reason not to, or a better option?

thanks for the help

If you're on the stock intake, use a regular filter. Fram is garbage, but it'll work.

Don't cheap out on the oil. Try Royal Purple (I use it in absolutely everything).

ok, why 0w30, not 5w30 ? I think last time they used 5w30 and I've used it for 6k miles.. whats the expectancy for 5w or 0w ?

I can't remember the diff but the 0w-40 it is the european car formula. You will need 5 quarts.
