DEFCON Special Offer
With permission from cincyTT, I am offering a discount/Group Buy price for DEFCON adapters and kits. I am the inventor and sole manufacturer of these parts.
What this mod does is replace the bushes in the front of your control arms with bushes there were originally on the car in 2000. After some high speed accidents in Germany, Audi redesigned the control arm bushes to "dumb down" the steering of the car. They introduced a ton of understeer, so that you will plow through a corner, instead of possibly having the rear end swing around. Note that the original parts were subject to a voluntary recall. With the recall, go got the dumbed down bushes, ESP, and the rear spoiler. Again, the recall was voluntary, this was NOT mandated for safety reasons. It had the effect to dumb down the steering, and take away the "point and shoot" steering from the car. All this can be restored on any MK1 car, with the addition of DEFCONs.
You can read more about DEFCONs here: http://www.mcpii.com/suspension.html
Kit Description | Normal Price ($) | Discount Price ($)
-------------------------------------------------------
DEFCON1 | 255 | 225
DEFCON2 | 210 | 180
DEFCON3 | 180 | 150
DEFCON4 | 150 | 130
DEFCON Adapters only | 120 | 100
These prices do NOT included shipping. I can quote shipping with your zip code and choice of speed (UPS Ground, 2-day, or next-day). Ground should be under $15 anywhere in the lower 48 states. I prefer PayPal payment, but other arrangements can be made - contact me with questions.
The adapters only is just that - adapters only. No bolts, no bushes. The kit contents (D1-4) are described at the link: http://www.mcpii.com/suspension.html#anchor_39. Subframe bolts are NOT included in these prices. If you would like subframe bolts (only needed on 3.2 cars) they are $25 for a set.
You can find installation instructions here: http://tinyurl.com/6hbj44. If you need assistance on installation, you can send me your control arms and I can install the parts in them for you ($133, includes my postage back to you). This needs to be arranged prior to shipping your parts to me (and obviously your car will be non-functional in that period of time).
This Group Buy is limited to 20 participants - there is NO minimum level of participation. The only limit is I have 5 sets of DEFCON1, if I get more orders, shipments may be slightly delayed. I will ship as orders are placed, so you do not have to wait for others to "get in on" this deal - I have stock on hand now.
I will list participants as they are confirmed, and update the status below. If you think you should be on the list, and are not, LET ME KNOW! so I can update the list.
If you want in on the group, or have any questions, please post here or e-mail me at Mike@MCPii.com

You want both of my arms?!?! Left AND right?
Oh man.... Well at least I'll still have my legs!
..let me guess, you know how to use them? And you never beg because you know how to choose them?
Well, this certainly seems to have fallen on deaf ears to this point... I truly thought there would be some interest in this GB. At the risk of sounding like a late-night infomercial or a used car salesman, what can I do (within reason, of course) to improve this offer and close a few deals?
