Basically, if you have a spoiler, your org arms are gone. They took them away for safety reasons, basically making the car more idiot proof

I read orgasms. XD

Would any of you trust a dealer to install these? i obviously lack the equipment to install them. I should prolly look into finding a good independent shop around here...

Get under the car and try to take this measurement:

This is the diameter of the arm at the FRONT BOLT location. The original arm will measure MUCH smaller than this (like 3/4" or so smaller). If you have one as large as the one in the picture above, DEFCONs will work for you. If your original control arm is much smaller at this location, you have MK1 arms, and cannot use (and don't need) DEFCONs.

If you don't have a spoiler, and you don't have ESP, you likely "got by" without receiving the "upgrade" from Audi - I take it you are not the original owner?

I would not trust my dealer to change my oil, YMMV ; )

If you like, you can send your control arms to me, and I can do the swap. Install services detailed here:

FWIW I have a 2000 w/o spoiler but the suspension upgrade was done. I'm not the original owner but I have the paperwork from the dealer. Looks like the arms were a recall and the spoiler was declined/optional.

I'm trying to figure out how I can get the DEFCONs2 in the budget...just a rough time of year with the holidays (and 8 nieces and nephews)
