Well heres a question.... Have any of you installed or have the del rio system....My local Guy can get the package for 5k.. It uses the Gt28rs turbo......Isnt this the same turbo as the APR kit?. So 375+ hp with this kit?

The 225 kit is a 2871r .86, apr kit use a .64. They use a giac tune that is just as good as the apr tune. You can look up m this 1 on vortex, he uses one and make good numbers. He was one of the first to get and use the kit.

They changed it, I promise. They have never updated the website, why, i dont know. It is a gt2871r with a .86 turbine (to keep stock internals).

its not hp you have to worry about, its low end torque. People are making almost 400whp on the 2871r w/ .86 turbine and stock internals (2000 atc engine 38Xwhp) and many with t3t4 50 trims. These both have smoother powerbands and push peak torque further out in the rpms. I have seen people blow rods through blocks with 28r's and 2871r's w/ .64 turbines. 300-350ftlbs usually is the limit people are willing to push on stock rods, depending on turbos.

You should be easily in the 12's and knocking on 11's with some slicks and a haldex controller.
