Can't believe how brittle these get..simple oil check,our course it not only cracked at the top bend, it snapped off at the bottom end.

I'll pick one up ASAP as no doubt it will spew all over the engine bay without.

Does anyone know if the base press-fits, snaps in, or is a twist/turn connection?

 

Fixed It's a push on. My local VW dealer had it in stock $7.95 Part # 06A 103 663 B in case anyone goes looking for one.
