Door squeak and cupholder rattle
Sorry if this is a repost -- I've tried searching the forum but couldn't find an answer.
When I open my doors, there are really loud creaks coming from the hinges. Does anybody know what the best way to completely get rid of the creaks are?
Also, when it's cold, my cupholders starts to rattle when I'm driving. Is there a fix to this?
Thanks in advance everybody

EDIT: I went out and bought White Lithium Grease spray and sprayed it on all the hinges. It seems to be working as of now.
Now onto trying to figure out how to get the cup holder rattle away ...
Isn't WD-40 not good for painted hinges?

WD-40 isn't exactly a lubricant. I mean, its got lubricants in it, but its not designed for use like that. The WD actually stands for Water Displacing. The 40 came about because it was the 40th formula they tried. Originally developed in the 50's as a corrosion inhibitor for rockets. It shouldn't hurt a painted hinge though, at least, I've never seen it hurt auto paint like that.
White Lith was the better choice, but sadly, not a permanent fix. My driver door squeaks like crazy every winter. I have to keep respraying it with lithium every couple weeks. No problems in the summer though.
Cup holders... I'd try tightening the screws that holds it in place, and if that doesn't work, loosen it up and stick a little piece of felt under the contact points, then tighten it down.
Screws are under the rubber pads at the base of the cup holders.
