Default Downpipe install help

So I have never cursed at my 225 TT as much as I did today. I tried installing the 42 DD downpipe but still don't even have the old one off. Is there a good guide for how to go about things? I can't seem to find one...

The issue now is that there is no way the stock dp is coming out without unbolting something/cutting it up. Plus, I need to be able to put the new one in, so there's got to be some magical trick to this that I'm missing.

Any help would greatly reduce the verbal abuse I've been giving my car today.

I had that bookmarked at one point and lost it. Exactly what I needed, thanks a million. Going to finish it at 0900 tomorrow. I'll try and take some pics of the dp with the Neuspeed exhaust i put on.

Was it a blade like this?

Did you leave it attached and cut it or unbolt it then cut it?

AWD those bits are garbage it will work but its gonna take you 9 years to get through the dp. get a bit that is made for cutting steel, and make sure the bit has lots of teeth per inch. the more teeth per inch the faster and easier it will cut through the dp.

i unbolted it from the turbo, removed the cats, and then started to cut it. if i were to do it again i would prob unbolt the cats and remove them, cut the DP, remove the lower portion of the DP from the bottom, THEN unbolt from the turbo and pull it through the top...

the DP install really isnt to bad its just time consuming. I would recommend getting the dogbone mount and installing it at the same time.

I started with a bit like the one you posted and it sucked! so i switched to a bit w/ a lot of teeth per inch and it dominated through the dp in like 2 seconds.

Finally got it all finished today. Definitely a different sound (but a good one), butt dyno feels the difference. Also, the turbo seems to spool faster, anybody know why? I have the street series with the cat, but I threw a CEL after about 10 minutes of driving. Didn't think I'd need to space the o2 sensors, but I guess so. How much are those bad boys and where is the best place to get them? Thanks.
