Default ECT Sensor and new 100k warranty

Well, Audi came through for me this time. I started to notice since Tuesday that sometimes the car's tempslowly moves from2 ticksbelowto 1 tick past half after it's warm during driving. It used to always stay dead on the 1/2 way mark. So I was thinking my ECT sensor is starting to fail and that I should go buy a new one. Today I receive a letter stating that Audi is adding a 100k/10yr warranty to the ECT sensor for all cars made from 2001-2004. Pretty happy right now, get to have the job done for free, without even having to use any of my own labor. :P

what exactly is covered by this new 100k warranty? I've heard nothing of this. I bought mine used and currently have 90k on her. is there a link somewhere to what else is covered?

LOL - I use all 4 forums, including the European one. I really hate the layout and search feature of AW...

I still lurk here. It's winter in Michigan, and my garage heater died, and with the extra hours at work, I haven't been doing much with the car. I promise I'll start posting more in the summer. I have a whole box of parts that need to go on, including a FMIC. :-)

Actually, the car is in the shop as we speak... i think the flexpipe on my custom 180TTQ DP failed... having them take a look at it right now.

That is so typical with the coolant temp sensor... i just paid like 30 bucks for one like 2 or 3 months ago... Wish I knew. lol.
