Default Ecu

I have an 04 TT 1.8 180 hp and it stopped running-just died. After letting it sit for a couple of mins. I was able to restart and make it home. I could start the car but it would only run for 30 to 40 sec. and then die again. Vac-com fault codes in the auto trans. block were 01314
004-engine control module-no signal/communiation-intermitent-MIL on.
008-Implausible signal-itermitent-MIL on.
03-Check DTC memory-intermitent-MIL on.
I clear the codes and started the car and it seemed to run pretty good with the exception of hard shifting. I took it for a short drive and then let it idle in my shop for @ 10 min. shut it off and hooked the vag back up to it and got the 004 fault code only. Does this sound like the ECU is bad? Or any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks, Mayn
