Default ECUs - Which is the best and core shipping?

I've been reading up on a couple of the ECUs, and it seems like the general consensus is each has it's own good and bad sides. Anyway, just wanted to see what you guys think is the preffered chip. From what I've seen, it seems like APR is the most popular. Also, will most manufacturers let you ship a core after you've recieved the flashed ECU [8D], or do you need to send in your stock ECU and be without a TT for a couple weeks [&o] Any info's greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You can do a search for dealers on their websites. But they are all really close in powe,r so close to you is usually the determining factor.

But anyways

APR - smooth power
Revo - a little more power than APR
Giac - most aggresive tune

You live in the middle of nowhere, congrats.

About 170 miles from your zipcode is http://www.bobhindsonracinginc.com/S...p;DocName=Home
an authorized APR dealer. If you feel like making a day of it, he should be able to flash your ecu, and send you on your way. Thats probably your fastest bet. I doubt you're gonna get a loaner ECU from anyone, APR offers stock ECU's for sale (additional $650), so you can have something in your car while the other is in transit.

Personally, I'd just make the drive, unless you find another company you really like, and feel like shipping out your ECU.

No NE dealers for giac and no Revo dealers in 250miles. Sorry man, but that sucks. It either a long drive or a few days without it. Ecstuning does 3 day turnaround on APR also.

Yah the closest place to me is like 150 miles thats for APR, but I think I want Giac it's about 230 miles away but I'm gonna drive it, we'll make it a short road trip.
