Default Eibach spring and strut questions!! Monroe Sensatrac

I was about to put on my new Monroe Sensatrac struts and rear shocks and I found out my car has Eibach springs. I assume Audi never used Eibach springs from the factory? They do say Eibach with "Federn" undereath where you would normally expect to see the word "Springs", which is german I believe for springs.

The front springs have the number 247897 & 8592.001VA on them.
The rear springs have UN & 11 1500102HA on them.

Also the right rear spring appears to be upside down (the Eibach logo and numbers are upside down). Does this matter?

Now I think I am screwed from using the Monroe stuff?? This is just a commuter car, so what is the cheepest struts that will work with Eiback springs? I don't care about anything other than a working strut that at least rides about like stock. I just think it may blow the Monroes out prematurely??

It seems the car still has the original struts and shocks. They still say VW on them etc. The car has about 124,000 on it I think.

I thought I was going to have this thing done this week. I guess not now.

This sucks, because my 1 ton diesel van can't make it out to the highway if it ices or snows....

Many people have used Eibachs with OEM springs/struts without any problems and the OEM springs/struts are not the best in the world. I doubt the monroes would wear any quicker than a set of OEMs with Eibachs.

You can use them just fine. They are just oem replacement but will be a bit rougher due to the shorter travel. Bilstiens and Koni make shocks for lowered cars but arent a must use item.

I don't want to have any issues, so I bit the bullet this morning and ordered a full set of Bilstein sports and a half KMAC kit for the rear. I now have to pack the monroes back up and return them . $565 more dollars, but at least I don't have to worry about it. Piece of mind is worth something.....

You most likely will not need the kmacs. bilsteins are a little stiffer than oems, so the drop with eibachs is about 3/4 inch to 1 inch. that's the set up I have and my audi dealer had no problems with the alignment. So, your alignment guy should have no problem getting you back within specs without the kmacs...be ready to send them back and get your money back.

cheers
