Default EPC Light on 2004 Audi TT Quattro 1.8

Hi guys, im a huge noob to cars but i was wondering if someone could help me out

I have a 2004 tt quattro 1.8 , and recently the traction contro llight came on and also the EPC light next to it. I took it to the audi dealer to get it diagnosed, and they told me the problem was my "Quattro Control Module" was malfunctioning. I asked another dealer about the quattro control module and they said they had never even heard of it. I'm wondering if this is something thats a made up part? The cost of replacing it is 2000, it supposedly controls the quattro on my tt and they said mine is starting to malfunction now which is why the light is coming on.

I just don't want to be ripped off. If anybody knwos anhything about this please let me know!

the TT is not quattro. its haldex. like the 4motion golf R32.

The haldex controller possibly could be going out. I would get a haldex diff fluid & filter change asap. then clear the code.

access your ECU, and check faults on AWD and ABS in vag-com window
