esp and abs lights

RE: esp and abs lights
A little trick I read somewhere has worked for me: Lock and unlock your door with the key. Apparently it resets the electronics. I always use my remote, but working the locks manually has corrected that problem.

i tried the reset and it made no difference. i purchased a vag-com lead off e-bay, eventually got it to work with windows vista (took me ages), and it told me my longitudinal acceleration sensor was implausible.
i read somewhere that this is located behind the side dash on the passenger side of the tt. anyone else had the same probs??

RE: esp and abs lights
my esp fix thread talked about this...mine was that the esp light stayed on and the code i got was latteral acceleration sensor located under steering wheel....ordered new part from worldimpex for around 140 bucks and replaced it....now it works fine...there is a latteral and the longitudinal i believe the latteral is under the steering wheel

RE: esp and abs lights
It sounds like you fixed the problem, so just for others who may actually use the search function and find this thread when they have a simillar problem, I had both the esp and abs lights coming on intermittently as well, my problem was with the drivers side rear abs sensor
