if you remove it, it will be louder but could drone on the highway. If you do replace it, you want the pipe to be the same diam as the catback

thats what i meant....i bought this 3" catless dp...which is amazing..and then bought this stainless borla catback kit. the resonator section is pretty much identical to stock section. i installed it all and it sounds very "tuned", and good. but it is not quite as loud as i would like i mean.....so i want to know if i should remove the resonator section from borla and have a new 2.5" pipe bent from testpipe to muffler.....or get a 3" pipe bent from testpipe to muffler and adapt it to the muffler....or leave it alone...but i want it louder...

Drone will be a constant humming noise. If you can get 3" from the dp to the muffler, that would be fine, if you are removing a part in the middle of the catback, just replace with the same diam.

Then just do 3" but make it not perminate just incase it gets to loud or drones and you want to go back to the way it came. I personally would just wait like clipse said and give it like a month for the sound material to get some heat in it and get to the final dB level

i dont see how the 3" pipe would connect to the dp....it just has bolts at the end for the reducer..
