Fighting to get the TT up to Par
so i lent my bro my winter beater for the day, and i decided to get the TT scanned at my friends shop since i was there picking my @ss.
now im kinda pissed, but i guess thats the life of owning an audi.
Codes: Max boost exceeded - this was the limp
Engine Torque limit exceeded -- i think this was causing limp too.
Bank1 sensor circuit error, bank1 resistance too large. -- ok what the hell is a bank 1 sensor... i need some help
misfire-intermitted and misfire cylinder 1 ... bad coild? plugs are new. NGK iridium Bkr7 or somesh8t like that
n112 valve -open circuit ????
n249 overrun valve turbo N249--- thats all the scanner showed.
and fuel level too low--- well i did fire it up this morning with 0 kms to travel.
so i need some help here to figure out what i need to fix so that my BT wont just F%ck it up beyond repair.

but its wierd, will throw cel, after it just cuts out completely while driving then, in about 4 -5 on/off cel will dissapear. then again re-appear ... and then repeat that cycle.
it was suggested to me aside from the O2 that i could have a failing coil.
now b4 i go ahead and spend the cash to replace all 4, what are some of the symptoms for a failing coil?

Bank one is your upstream O2 sensor, bank 2 being the one down under the car. Check the connector/wiring to see if it got pinched/smashed.

I threw a CEL on my way to get the car inspected last year, pulled in, ran my diagnostics, showed the mechanic that was gonna run his diagnostics, and said I'd be back tomorrow after I cleared the code and ran a drive cycle.
Turns out the connector for the bank 1 sensor had been crushed, and I had bare connector pins bouncing off of metal brackets under the hood. I electrical taped it back together, and went back the following day and got my sticker. Every garage thats seen the vag diagnostics tool has been impressed, even had a VW tech say it was easier to use than what they have at the shop.
I also scan other peoples car sometimes for cases of beer. Definately a smart idea buying it, I've saved assloads of money in beer.

lol .... now that you mention the gaisn you have with beer ... i havea ebay cable but it doesnt really work all taht well... good thing i only spent 12$ on it ... but still ... caris clearing code on its own then showing code again... its really annoying ..

Studdering when you get into boost at about 4K rmps, but only really at 18lbs of it. When I had a bad coil and I would put it into "stock" then it wouldnt studder at all... Try switching coil packs to cyl #2 and then drive it and if it come up with a code for CYL #2 misfire then yes you have a bad coil pack. I really think you should try pressure testing your intake becasue I think you probably are losing boost along with all the other problems you are having...

ok so in the mission to get the car up to par,
i had a "EGT" sensor replaced recently when my car threw a code, in a discussion with another person here regarding limp/epc, Nate pointed out that 2000 TTQC does not have EGT, so it must have been a misprint.
WRONG, they just flat out lied about fixing it, replacing it.
what they did do was clear the code, aparently the problem at the time was intermitted and now it finally fialed, i guess they hoped to get me back there and they were going to tell me that a "different" sensor was broken now.
so i put that hunch to the test, and guess what, they got booked. so needless to say they now owe me 6k$ for damamges, lost wages and defamation (they called me a liar in front of others). now im stuck having to fix the bank1 sensor that was originally failing.
i got 4 new ATC coils, should be arriving soon i hope.
now for the 02S .... i m going to be runnig a A/F guage as my 2nd vent mount. i am looking into getting a WB 02 Sensor.
i remember discussing with Nate about the ECU differences and when the WB sensor came as OE stups.
if i get aftermarket or OE WB 02, will i need to change anything else, will it present a problem for the current ecu? im not fimiliar with 02 sensors so i apologize for the noob questions
