Flashing Brake Light
I have a 2001 TT cluster that after it was sent out to have the information display/lcd replaced it came back with a flashing BRAKE light on and it chimes 3 times right after starting the car. I had it to Audi dealer and they think the problem is within the cluster and say I should replace the whole thing with a brand new one. I have read many forum posts that say the probelm is fluid but all this checks out fine. Does anyone have any insight as to where I should go from here.
I'm sure this sort of goes without asking but, have you physically checked all of the brake lights for proper function? Not trying to be a wisenheimer but I know sometimes if I'm super focused on a problem, I forget to look at the obvious first. Hope you get it figured out.
I read a guy with the same problem who had their brake fluid topped off and it turned out that the float was stuck on the brake fluid sensor. But yeah, that's what it does when your fluid is low. Maybe try fooling with the sensor?
