Default forge 007 spring

just got in the forge 007 piston dv, hoping it will solve my lost boost issue. got it from ttstuff so it came with a couple shims and the blue and yellow springs. i am unchipped, so can I just use whatever the default spring in there is? thanks

Yes, I believe that the stock spring in there is the red one. That is the best spring for unchipped cars. After you get it chipped a shim should do the trick. Im not sure what PSI the other springs are set for.

Default missing boost/forge 007

i replaced the dv because i wasnt getting the boost i expected to see, i have an 01 225q and am only seeing it hold 5psi and spike to 10-11psi. the forge dv def made some difference in spool time and boost recovery, but it didnt change the max boost i saw, so i assume i have a leak somewhere. i know i couldve flipped the bosch dv(thanks cicny) but i know i want to chip it later so i replaced the dv anyways in case that was the issue, apparently its not. i dont have a compressor so i dont know that ican check for leaks that way, other reccomendations? thanks.

buy/build a pressure tester, and take it somewhere that does have a compressor.

hell, a gas station would work...

I just swapped the green (one it shipped with installed) for the yellow no shims, and it definitely helped, it still wont go over 10-11 psi, but it will hold there under WOT and keep 7psi when it was giving me 5 before. Would like to get the APR 93 after I get the strut bearing/bushings replaced, if this boost situation sounds normal for an unchipped 225.

That sounds low for a 225. Pretty sure you should be 3-5psi higher. I don't currently have a boost gauge, so I can't tell you definate readings, but the numbers you're posting are as low, or lower than I remember for my 180 before it was chipped.
