Forge BOV vs DV?
ORIGINAL: FasTT
yea the 007 isnt adjustable...i had one and loved it - you've just gotta take it apart and grease it every once in a while. i have a baileys dv now (not the piston setup...its a diaphram) and i actually like it better. a little more metallic "psh" and boost is more responsive
if you want a splitter i believe turbo smart makes a dual port that has more adjustability than the forge splitter. soon im going to try the turbosmart supersonic bov with a cold side relocation kit...if you're still debating at that point ill let you know - always had DVs so who knows what'll happen

All the dv's work well. But when it comes to venting, not all valves are equal. Basically forge makes the best venting hybrids and bov. When it comes to BT applications, the tial 50mm bov is the best
Hey Cincy, HOw about the HKS SSQV? sorry to jack your thread, but I am also interested in the bov too.

as said in the other thread. It doesnt respond as well on the 1.8t, it gets really annoying fast, and the 004 is $100+ cheaper

Define the statement, "It doesn't respond as well on the 1.8T." I think you were the one that said it doesn't do anything to the performance. only when you first install it the ecu adapts to the non recirc and then it's fine. I got mine a week before I stored my car and I did notice a slight drop in MPG, but after getting more driving time in the gas milage slowly started going back up to the norm..

So what you're saying is, some 1.8t don't adapt as well as others with the HKS?
And on the annoying note..I can see how it can be annoying for some..Especially if you don't have an exhaust that can balance out the sounds coming from the car..All I know is that once I take my car out of storage this spring i'm getting an exhaust first. Otherwise I think that bov would get annoying if all I heard was a quite car with a loud *** blow off.
