Default Forge Eliminator DV... Any Good?

Hi Everyone,

I am thinking of buying a Forge Eliminator DV from someone off the VW forum. It is a diaphragm
type of valve and comes with a couple of springs and shims.
Does anyone have any experience with this type of valve? I tried to do a search for it but can't find any
information on it. Not even on the Forge Web site.

So before I commit to buy I would like to know if anyone has had one before and if there are any pros and
cons to consider.

Thanks for your help!

Tom in Indy

whats with the blue?

There is no such thing. There is the 004, 006, 007, and a old race valve with a crappy diaphram. Got a link to the item for sale?

I just felt blue [&:] I left msgs for Forge about this valve and if they still have any replacement diaphragms for it. So far they haven't responded and neither has Patty at Forge.

The Valve does exist. I believe it came out in 2005 but Forge discontinued it because of diaphragm failure. I did have the Forge Race Valve which I did like and I never ran enough boost to cause the diaphragm to collapse. Then they came out with the new polymer diaphragms and they lasted longer than the rubber ones. Now APR picked up the diaphragm again and I am tempted to get the R1 valve but really don't want to spend 159 for one. So I thought maybe give this Eliminator DV a try. I can get it for 70 shipped. But if I can't get any replacement diaphragms in case the original breaks than it would be useless.

I was thinking about getting the Forge Splitter Valve. Maybe I can pick it up used somewhere cheap.
Still curious about the Forge Eliminator Valve. I E-Mailed Forge and called and left a couple of msgs
but so far they didn't bother calling me back.

thats the only bad thing about it though, even though you can make it a 100% DV it just doesn't seem to work right because the hole is too small, you can feel the restriction it has to it... but it works great when its vented to the atmosphere.
