Default Front Axle Help

Hello all.

I have been having a grinding noise when I make a left under hard acceleration in 2nd to 3rd. Now under hard acceleration from 2nd to 3rd going straight I can hear it. I put the TT up on the lift today and the both outer cv boots torn and no grease in there. I think it is a Axle? I thought it was a Wheel Bearing but nope. I was wondering if any one can confirm that it sounds like a Axle. And if so Where should I buy one. My price from my Audi Store $290 OUCH!!!!!!! How is that for a spanking. LOL

Well any help would be greatly appreciated.

Drive Safe.

You've got the option of replacing the CV Joints themselves, otherwise you may be better off with the new axles which come with new CV's on either end. The labor is about the same either way.
