Angry Frustrated doesnt cover it....

So I realized that I finally needed to replace my clutch which I put in several years ago. It was an endurance clutch from South Bend and I used their Single Mass Flywheel with it. I was able to put 120k on it before the first slip so I was happy with it.

I thought I would go back to them to get a new disc pp and bearing so I called them up. Said yeah I have the endurance clutch in it now which I bought 4 years ago with your single mass fw and was hoping to reuse it. The guy on the other end said oh sure just make sure you have it resurfaced. No problem I know how this works. So I ordered the new parts and had them second day aired as I use my car daily for work and have no other car. (Yeah I know its my own fault)

Got the new clutch spent half the day today tearing the tranny out pulled the old parts out including the fw which was in decent shape. No noticeable hot spots or nasty stuff on the face so I knew it would be good to go after a quick resurface.

Was getting ready to take the fw to get it done and checked the new disc vs the old disc and noticed right off that it wasnt the same. It appeared as though the hub part was actually bigger/wider on the new one and uses four springs vs six. I thought I better check this out first and sure enough the disc doesnt fit in the fw properly. The hub part is hitting inside the fw where the taper part goes down to the bolt holes. I measured it out and its approximately 1/4 inch wider. The disc itself is the right width and the pp fits the fw properly but that freaking hub part doesnt sit right and I know that I cant just go with it....not interested in rebuilding the bottom half of the motor. Looking forward to getting told too bad on monday. Sorry just wanted to vent to others that can appreciate this kind of thing.
