Fuel Sender Bad Again?
#12
Techron is at about any discount auto parts store but after all I read I think that is a low percentage fix. The FSU and Cluster seem to be at fault most of the time.
And the dealership wanted $550 for head cover gasket fix.

just maybe, its the cluster.
i have a problem where my gas gauge reads 1/4 tank FULLER than it really is.
also the temp gauge bounces around all the time around the 1/2 way mark.
went in for diagnosis and the result is definitely the cluster- in addition to the missing pixels, etc.

Fixed....Again
Just an update on this...
History: First time fuel gauge went bad, dealership fixed fuel sender under warranty.
Second time fuel gauge was bad, dealership fixed cluster under recall agreement.
The gauge only worked a short time after this then the dealership said the fuel sender was bad again and wanted about $500 to fix it out of warranty. My response..."SEE YA".
Third time out again, I remembered my extended warranty I hardly used..looked it up...COVERED!! and $50 deductible i get local mech to replace it.
Good again...for now.
