Default Future Buyer with a question

Hello TT owners,

I've been researching the TT's for few weeks now and I wanted to ask the people that would give me the most honest answers! I think through all my research I have decided that this is the car for me, however, I havent heard anything about maintance. Is it good? bad? expensive? minimal? I will read and learn from any information given to me!

Thanks for your time,

Alex

only one answer to this regardless of what car ( you only get out what you put in ) over maintenance is better than a forgetful mind keep logs and receipts for future sales reasons

Can you work on cars yourself? Or do you take it to the dealer for everything? But yes what you put into it, is what you are going to get out of it. Baby it and it will love you back, beat on it without taking the right steps and its gona bite you in the butt.

1.Get the 225 version (dual exhaust)
2.Manual(six speed pref.)
3.Quattro version (FWD too much wheel hop or spin)
4.If I were to do it again I would buy the coupe, the roadster is just too heavy but I still go fast----->

only real issues with the tt's are the wheel bearings and the turbo's. these are the things i see brake most often. but in audi's defense they are wear parts so they can be classified as maintenance. if working on cars isnt your thing i reccomend finding a independant local to you working out of his garage or whatever. you will save the most money with a independant and they will give you the higest quality of work. working on these cars require alot of expensive tools to do the job right.

Thank you for your feedback. What generally happens with the turbo? What problems would I experience (Sorry i this is a rediculous question..im really not familiar with how the whole turbo thing works) Would a year 2002-2003 give me problems?.. I dont necessarily want to add mods to my car when I buy it... I want to try to keep it as simple and maintance free as possible..is the audi the type of car that is gennerally in the shop alot??

Thank you
