Hah well you are right. Didnt think before i posted for some reason i just was thinking we were heavier than that. But then again S2000 and WRX, SRT-4 are all around the same weight but have way more power.

 

Cincy could you explain real quick what the diode does? Sorry this is kinda random. But the MAF to the ECU can only read up to 5V so what exactly is the diode doing. I know if regulating the volts down to 4.3v but what exactly is it doing it forand why does it work?

 

Its for the MAP. The map sends the ecu psi in volts. At 4.3v the ecu sees 11psi. So its lower when the psi is lower and the diode caps the volts at 4.3v when the psi goes higher than that. The map tops out at 5v and thats why when you push more than 22psi the ecu cant see it. APR sells a new map with their kit. but im not sure if you can buy theirs by itself.

so the only thing going for the chip is the slight increase in gas mileage. unless you can use lemmiwinks to up the mpg with a diode as well.
