no like audi a6's are prone to certain defects do tt's have these problems like unusual acceleration, braking, handling,or engine malfunctions.Im looking to buy a tt triptronic when i get my tax return.is the 1.8 a reliable motor?is the 225hp really a big difference in power?is quattro really better?

Opinions on this are appreciated.

You obviously have not read through the FAQ... Seeing as they are FREQUENTLY Asked Questions, it's pretty safe to assume that most TTer's run into them.

Directly from FAQ

Q. Are there any major mechaincal problems with the TT.
A. Not the TT, but rather the 1.8T engine. The timing belt should be changed out around 60k miles. The dealer states that it is good for over 100k miles but the water pump was made with a plastic impeller and my break causing thousands in damage. You can do it yourself or have the dealership do it also. Most members state that it should be done after 60k, as that is where many have started to have problems. Again its just a suggestion, but better to be safe than sorry.

So... Do you have anymore animal and feces related jokes? Also why doesn't the FAQ help you? I mean hell it just helped me prove you wrong....
Learn to search and look around before posting; kinda pointless and a waste of time to have the same QUESTION FREQUENTLY ASKED!
If ya know what I mean...
