I had a glove box that wouldn't open (the handle wouldn't release the latching mechanism) and my girl suspected me of hiding my black book in there so she tried forcing it open and broke the handle off. I still can't get the compartment open but want to fix it.

How does one go about releasing the latching mechanism without the handle. Since the handle didn't work properly in the first place is there another way to fix this or get at the backside of the compartment to release the latch?

Sure could use some help here.
