got MPG?

I get about 400 miles to a tank...more depending on how much highway I do. So 400 mi is suburban driving...would ble like 600 I think if I did straight highway like on a road trip or something

ive never gotten any more than 380-385 miles to a tank, divide that by 16 and thats only 24mpg. i think 180 quattros get alot worse gas milage than the 225

do you guys have FMIC's ?? I noticed a big difference in my gas once i put that on...I wish I could test out my theory. I think it's crazy that I can get a solid 400 to a tank doing city driving...I don't think 600 is fantastical. I've seen my MGP estimate hit 500 at times...
With my 180, I was getting maybe 350 miles to a tank on a good day, but averaged 315 driving to work over a couple big hills. With the 225, I can get damn near 450 miles, but thats a gamble, considering I don't have a working fuel gauge, this is mostly flat highway driving, about 75mph.
Keep in mind, the 225 tank can hold 17 gallons (tested, I ran out of gas once), the 180 tank holds just under 15 gallons. Thats for quattro cars, don't know if that makes a difference.
BTW, best averaged fuel milage over 50-100 miles I've had is 39.7mpg, on another occasion, I got 36.6mpg, but both times I'm pretty light on the throttle, draft, and coast from far out when coming into slower speed zones. Spark plugs definately need changing though, so that may be hurting me just a little. Actually, I think I'll order up a set of Denso's right now.

I get around 20mpg city and I made a trip, LA area to San Francisco Bay Area (350 miles exactly) on 14.5 gallons, so I guess that is a little less than 25mpg. Keep in mind that was doing about 100mph pretty much the entire time. On average regular highway driving I get around 28-29.

I had no clue the 225 had a different capacity fuel tank. I've never put 17gal in mine though. I've run mine wayyyyy low too. (fuel light on for about 20 miles) and still only got about 15-15½gal in it.
are there really that many differences between the 225 and 180? You'd think they'd have an identifier for it if it really was that different.
from AW spec sheet topis FWD andbottom is AWD 180.
Capacities
Engine Oil:
4.8 U.S. quarts (4.5 liter)
Fuel Tank:
14.5 U.S. gallons (55 liter)
16.3 U.S. gallons (62 liter)
Cooling System:
7.4 U.S. quarts (7 liter)
You would get better gas milage with a 225 over a 180 w/ awd since you accelerate less amount of time to get to the same speed and at roughly the same weight. Go get and read the latest issue of Import Tuner, they have a good article about it in this months issue.
