Got peppered
Sigh, not such a good few days for the TT. Last week got a ticket trying to avoid being run into and today while driving under an underpass I heard what sounded like a whole bunch of little rocks hitting my car. Work was only a mile away and the only way to get to the road with the overpass was a mile loop out of the way (no way to see what caused it0 so I just went there to inspect it.
I now have hundreds of little chips about half the size of a pin head in my hood (including through the clear bra), roof, and windshield. Still have no idea what caused it. Guess that will be on the list of things to do this summer. A little disappointing to say the least.
btw, have the SPEC 14lb flywheel on order with stage 2+ clutch. Likely install that end of the summer unless something happens where I need to install it sooner. Thanks again for those that had input on this in my other thread.

Do you have comprehensive coverage? I keep a $100 deductible on my comp/glass breakage coverage. You should be able to turn this in as a comprehensive claim. It's worth a shot. As a FYI, comprehensive claims do not increase your insurance premiums. They are coverage for vandalism, glass breakage and fire/flood damage. The deductible for comp at $100 per incident raises your whole policy premium about $40/year. I would tell your insurance company that you saw someone throwing the rocks. That was probably the case anyway.
Problem with that... is that usually if you make a comp claim for vandalism etc... they require a police report to prevent fraud. Unless he filed a police report (Im assuming he didn't based on the rush to work that day), he's probably SOL.
Sorry man, thats very unfortunate.

I've filed comp claims without a police report. If it were me I'd call my insurance company and tell them it just happened and let them tell me what to do next. It's not like he's filing a false claim. His car was vandalized. Ignorant a**holes who do stuff like throw rocks from an overpass need to get the snot beat out of them.
It happened today. I left a message with my agent today (State Farm) and will talk with him tomorrow about it. I feel comfortable with him as well as I know he will advise me properly and if he advises against making a claim he won't report it further up.
