Got Towed
if i'm not mistaken the haldex is disengaged when you are not loosing traction, and or power is not applied to it. IE ignition off. so no there shouldnt be any damage. as far as a flat bed goes, you cant pull the car on a flat bed while in gear. so no they didnt use one. they just lifted it with the fork type lifts under the front wheels.
True there is no way to winch it onto a flatbed with it still engaged (if you left it in gear)(or the e-brake was pulled, but that only locks the rear brakes)If you had it out of gear and with the ebrake off then they could of pulled it, painfully but could be done. If your ebrake was on then they may of just drug your car onto the lift, hell they could of just used a handy tool to get into your car and put it out of gear and take the ebrake off, like I said earlier who the hell really knows what they do....
I know what they did.. They did not take my car out of gear (they told me that), they used a flatbed (they told me that, and thats all they have). I did have both my ebrake on and 2nd engaged...i hope they all rot ;-)

Hey guy - I run a towing company (catermostly to local law enforcement)- and if you're car was in gear then they would have no problem getting it on the flatbed but getting it off they would need to "scoot" it off - essentially working the bed back and forth since the wheels are all locked.
As for damage- should be little if any. You'll get more outside damage than internal from that. If it was wheel lifted - hell yes - they would need to disconnect the drivelines or dolly it (too long to explain that process to explain) to avoid damage and that depends on the driver's laziness factor - I fire mine if they don't.
But like everyone here, let me add my voice to the choir - regardless of the cost, hassle, or inconvience - pay up and avoid this kind of hassle.
