Grill removal ... ?

Default Grill removal ... ?

I just got a badgeless mesh grill from kamei and I was wondering if I could just pull out the grill or if i had to take out my front bumper? Im hoping i dont have to take off my front bumper ...

I am afraid yes. DId you get the grillz from Ebay?? I was thinking about getting that grillz as well.

yea i did .. ill def. put it up after my install. Ill probably install my grill over the weekend then, because I dont have time to do the whole front bumper removal.

I believe you can just pull it out without removing the bumper. there's nothing that holds it in from behind, there's just a bunch of little tabs that slide into the bumper cover and hold it in place.

hmm really ... i will def. Give that a try then .. i just didnt want to rip something else out that shouldnt come out ... but def. pix will go up over the weekend ... getting new rims too (already ordered just waiting) ... I got the flik hornets (CHEAP and EXACTLY the designI wanted). I liked the black with chrome outline .... anyways will have pix up

The grill is clipped all the way around. (overkill) The problem with the tabs is they all need to be started/released at the same time. Without removing the bumper cover, access is too difficult, unless you have a lot of friends all with very small hands.

If you're not keeping the old grill you may consider carefully cutting the grill clips for removal You should be ok as long as the new grill snaps in.

what grill did you buy on ebay?

I jsut purchased the Caractere knock-off for $100. The version that is inset when installed, not flush with the bumper.
