I jsut purchased the Caractere knock-off for $100. The version that is inset when installed, not flush with the bumper.

Its a Kamei grill and ive bought mesh from kamei before (directly from their site). Pretty good quality. Cant wait to install it.

The fun part is getting your hood lines nice once you put your bumper back on. I had the most trouble trying to get the sides of the bumper in place where it meets the fenders. Do the sides first, then worry about getting the lines right across the engine compartment.

I do agree that getting all the gaps right is a pain. You have the hood line and the gaps around hte headlights.

I had to try to straighten the headlights too, the shop that i was raving about in the beginning got tired of my car I think, and towards the end, the quality of his work went down. Passenger side headlight assembly was aimed toward the shoulder. What a bitch. (the guy, not the car)(ok, the car too)

i found a guide to taking my bumper off ... since this is my first time doing it. Wanna do it myself this time since im getting a fmic kit pretty soon (just debating over tcarbon or ebay since the core was argued to be the same). Hopefully the lines for the aliens wont b a biatch.
