What are you getting, the FK grille? Thats what I have, looks like stock but no rings. Paid $75 for mine if I remember right.

Bumper should come off, the added trouble of removing it is still better than the trouble of trying to unclip the stock one and installing the new one without risking breaking the tabs. I had to push pretty hard on mine as well, something I couldn't do w/ it in the car, but some people have installed them w/o totally removing the bumper. The on-car procedure is to remove the screws along the top edge of the bumper, and just prying it out enough to get in there and work.

Someone bitched becaused we said you do and he did it w/o removing it fully. So it can be done, but easier with the bumper off like Matt said

You can remove it without taking off the bumper. The bumper removal can be a pain especially on the 225. The twin intercoolers get in the way when removing the screws hiddenbehind the wheel well guard. I was able to get mine off with out removing the bumper butI broke over half the clips that hold it on. I just tugged really hard applying equal force on both sides.
